Jaime Webbe is a West Vancouver resident with a career spanning two decades at the forefront of international sustainability, climate policy, and community leadership. Jaime holds a Master’s degree in Geography from McGill University and has spent her career working where science, policy, and people intersect.
She has worked with the United Nations, the World Bank, and the Government of Canada on some of the defining challenges of our time, climate change, biodiversity loss, sustainable development, and gender equity. She has facilitated agreement among 195 countries and mobilized tens of millions of dollars for climate action in the developing world. Most recently, as President and CEO of the United Nations Association in Canada, she led a national organization delivering over $5 million annually in programming on the Sustainable Development Goals and youth engagement.
Jaime’s focus on partnerships and responsiveness to national and local needs is paralleled by her diligence and ability to deliver. Through words and actions, Jaime built trust, allowing her to launch a number of innovative initiatives on climate adaptation technology and education.
